Micro SD (TransFlash) is the world’s smallest memory card and is designed for the new generation mobile phones, that will be able to handle large storage capacities for multimedia applications, such as MP3 players, digital cameras, video, games, organizers, MMS and email capabilities. Micro SD (TransFlash) acts like a portable storage device letting you store and transport digital files.

The Micro SD (TransFlash) memory card is the next form factor standard, after Secure Digital and MiniSD, to be adapted by SD Card Association. The transition of the name from TransFlash to Micro SD has now occurred.

Due to the ultra small size of the product, it is not intended to be handled or removed on a frequent basis. The Micro SD (TransFlash) form factor will be promoted globally to other mobile phone manufacturers.
